The Galena Homestead offers Katahdin Hair Sheep and Kat/Dorper crosses used in the traditional and ethnic lamb markets. Breeding programs are designed to produce lambs that sell well in each of these distinct markets

We production animals selecting genetic traits that include rapid weight gain, multiple births, fertility and efficient feed conversion.

The Galena Homestead (GHP) offers a limited number of registered ram and ewe lambs each year.  We select our choice breeding pairs based on past performance focusing on achieving specific production traits.
