Katahdin Hair Sheep are low-maintenance, easy care sheep renowned for their flavorful meat. We offer commercial and registered katahdins, as well as, Kat/Dorper crosses.
Number of lambs born per ewe is on of our primary selection traits. Adult ewes in our flock average 2.3 lambs each year.

The Galena Homestead offers Katahdin Hair Sheep and Kat/Dorper crosses used in the traditional and ethnic lamb markets. Breeding programs are designed to produce lambs that sell well in each of these distinct markets

The Galena Homestead (GHP) offers a limited number of registered ram and ewe lambs each year. We select our choice breeding pairs based on past performance focusing on achieving specific production traits.
